What is Melasma?

Melasma is brown to gray-brown patches, usually on the face.

Most people get it on their cheeks, bridge of their nose, forehead, chin, and above their upper lip can appear on other parts of the body that get lots of sun.

Prevention of melasma

  1. Daily sunscreen use. Since sunlight is one of the biggest triggers for melasma, daily sunscreen use is non-negotiable to keep it at bay.
  2. Outdoor hats. Broad-brimmed hats help keep rays off vulnerable parts of the face.
  3. Gentle skin care.

Melasma can happen over time so caring for your skin now will help so much later, its never too late.
